These two issues will get in the way of an enjoyable experience for both new combine and rebels.

That happens for the current model as well for new players, some new combine and rebels alike dont know that we are actually resistance, the current model resembles the OTA model a lot.

Altho for combines, since we open fire on them as soon as we see them, its hard to not know we are the enemy

+1, would be cool to see tho they would have to implement certain rules for RU to make it better like for example Only COs can use that model, so its much better

RU currently have a RAZOR title that they can buy, maybe if there was a rule where only people with that tittle can use the model, idk

As many old buhrs, having the Razor model would be kinda nice and what Ducks said make it CO only, but most likely people would confuse the uniform as a Helix. Might sound a bit buhr, but I mean the helix model and the Razor model kinda look the same, just with a fatter cheek.
